BIC U.S. World Missions Deploys Estol and Kristen Bathurst
In partnership with U.S. congregations and individuals, we celebrate that Estol and Kristen Bathurst, along with their five children, deployed to Malawi, October 1, 2019, for a three-year missionary term.
Thank you for walking alongside the Bathursts through your prayers and financial support.
The Bathursts will be serving among the unreached Yawo people group with the goal of seeing a movement of multiplication among new Christ-followers. Following a time of extensive language learning, they will be partnering with church planters Doug and Barb Miller (longtime World Missions global workers) and BIC Malawi church leaders to teach chronological Bible studies.
Members of Zion BIC in Abilene, Kansas, they have also served as youth ministers at the church. For most of his career, Estol has farmed alongside his father and brother. Along with farming with Estol, Kristen has worked as a dietician, and she homeschools their five children. In the last couple of years, they have participated in the Missionary Development Program, the Brethren in Christ U.S. training program for prospective global workers, which focuses on cross-cultural education, theology/spiritual formation, and interpersonal relationships.
“We are so incredibly thankful to the Lord for leading us on this journey. Our faith has been strengthened by all the family, friends, and supporters that God has provided!” said the Bathursts.
As they deploy, here are a few ways to pray for them:
We are grateful we can partner with Estol and Kristen in sharing the message of the gospel in Malawi.
